British Gas to create 90 jobs in Hampshire

Southampton is to see 90 jobs created by British Gas by the end of the year, according to one newspaper. The Daily Echo reported that 50 new call centre roles will be made available alongside a further 40 full-time positions at the insulation depot, which aims to help customers make their homes more energy efficient. Secretary of state for energy and climate change Chris Huhne told the publication: "Many more green jobs like these could be created as the government pushes ahead with plans to insulate homes across the country as part of its Green Deal."
