400 jobs to be created in new healthcare centre

A new centre being constructed at St Andrew's Hospital - a mental health facility in Northampton - will see 400 new jobs made available, it has been reported.

The Northampton Chronicle stated that a new building named William Wake House would require over 150 employees by December 2010, while another 250 will be instated before 2012.

Among the roles to be advertised by St Andrew's Healthcare - the charity which runs the facility - will be vacancies for trained medical professionals such as psychiatrists, psychologists and social workers.

However, the body will also be seeking housekeeping staff, teachers, secretaries and catering employees, the publication said.

The building is scheduled for completion by December and will house eight wards with 132 beds and other facilities.

According to the news provider, William Wake House will offer services for people with conditions such as brain injuries and hearing problems.

St Andrew’s Hospital in Northampton sits on 106 acres of parkland and acts is the charity's main site, although the body has other locations in Essex and BirminghamADNFCR-1581-ID-800029213-ADNFCR
