BAE Systems to increase online recruitment use
BAE Systems has announced it is continuing to make use of online recruitment in 2009 as it looks to take on more workers.
The firm will be updating its online recruitment system in the hope of attracting 300 apprentices and 300 graduates over the next 12 months, Human Resources magazine reports.
Following a nine-month review of its recruitment process, the global defence and aerospace company concluded that it wants to make greater use of internet technology when hiring workers.
Alistair Imrie, group director of human resources at BAE, said: "As the company grows across all its businesses, it's vital we increase our focus on specialist recruitment."
In other online recruitment news, it was recently announced that Sleepmasters, one of the biggest bed retailers in the UK, has been nominated for an award.
The company has been put forward for the best corporate use of online recruitment accolade at Online Recruitment's upcoming awards ceremony.
