Blondes 'losing out to brunettes'
Blonde women are earning less than brunettes and are less successful in love, according to a new report.
The poll found that on average brunettes earn £4,250 more annually than blondes, 40 per cent of brunettes said the shade gave them luck in romance, while one in seven said dyed hair gave them greater confidence.
Schwarzkopf & Henkel, haircare manufacturers and commissioners of the report, said that brunettes climb the career ladder faster and are taken more seriously than their blonde contemporaries.
Company spokesperson, Camila Lobo-Guerrero said: "Blondes [
] aren't taken as seriously as women with darker hair - both at work and play.
"Hair colour can not only change your appearance but also change your mindset and people's perception of you."
Vogue magazine recently weighed in on the age old blonde Vs brunette debate, saying that naturally blonde women are an "endangered species" and being blonde is equally about attitude as appearance.
