Bosses plan 'to increase online recruitment spend'
Job seekers have been urged to embrace online recruitment agencies to help find work.
According to a CareerBuilder.com survey, although 28 per cent of employers say they may have to decrease their recruitment budgets for 2009, 19 per cent said they plan to spend more of this money looking through online recruitment sites.
Therefore, job seekers are encouraged to take advantage of this and post their CV on the internet as it is likely to be beneficial to their search.
Rosemary Haefner, vice president of Human Resources at CareerBuilder.com, said: "January is typically one of the busiest job search months of the year and this year should be no exception with increased unemployment combined with workers who are putting their New Year's resolutions into action."
Online recruitment is revolutionising the traditional role of a manager, making the process quicker, cheaper and more effective, Web Newswire reports.
