Busy day ahead for online recruitment, website claims
January 7th could be one of the busiest days of the year for online recruitment agencies, in the opinion of one website.
According to iProfile.org, jobseekers are now putting Christmas behind them and returning their thoughts for finding work.
Because of this there is likely to be a surge in the number of people uploading their CVs to online recruitment agencies.
2009 may also see increased volumes of job applications due to the higher number of people who were made redundant during the recession.
Chief executive officer of iProfile Rick Bacon said that "many people reflect on their career over the Christmas period, even making finding a new job their New Year's resolution and then start job-hunting in the first week back at work".
The Star-Telegram recently claimed that if people have spelling errors on their CV, their chance of getting a job will be jeopardised.
