Cobbetts: Digital recruitment thriving

Law firm Cobbetts has advised that though these online methods of recruitment may target wider and younger jobseekers, caution must be exercised towards relying solely on video CVs, onrec.com reported.
The company's head of employment Judith Watson said: "Although the practice is still relatively uncommon, more and more businesses are requesting this form of job application."
However, she added that employers should not leave themselves "wide open to discrimination claims" by making "stereotypical assumptions" based on video CVs and digital methods of recruitment.
Recently, British-based website iprofile, which stores virtual CVs online, signed a major deal with a range of companies in Australia to expand its operations.
