Employers 'looking for more than just skills'
The services offered by some online recruitment agencies may be of use for jobseekers as it has been claimed that skills alone are not enough to satisfy some employers.
Speaking to the Irish times, Anne Heraty, creator of CPL Resources, said that there are not many other aspects being taken into consideration by firms when they are recruiting.
In her opinion, hiring the wrong person can bring the morale of a company down and employers must be clear about the type of worker they are looking for.
"It's not just about skills," Ms Heraty stressed. "It's also about attitude, it's about cultural fit and how the individual feels and what they want to bring to the company."
Meanwhile, the British Chamber of Commerce has claimed that many firms are having trouble recruiting staff as there is a shortage of people with appropriate business skills.
