Expert discusses benefits of online recruitment
It has been claimed by one expert that the internet has had a "huge effect" on the recruitment process over the past five years.
Speaking to allAfrica.com, Mark Gray, head of Graylink, said that many firms are now adopting an online-only approach to the hiring of staff.
Furthermore, the use of technology is fast becoming the best way for jobseekers and employers to "find each other".
Discussing the benefits of online recruitment, Mr Gray said that it better enables companies to track, screen and filter applications compared to traditional methods which are slow, costly and require a great deal of administration.
"With more organisations moving their recruitment online, competition has increased and it is no longer enough to have a website that merely lists current vacancies," he added.
In other online recruitment news, some agencies are seeing and influx of job seekers wanting to make use of their services, recruiter reported.
