Expert: Jobseekers should use online recruitment

05/12/2008

Jobseekers have been told by one expert that online recruitment is one of their best options when it comes to finding a job.

Remy Piazza, managing director of CareerBuilder Canada, said that 59 per cent of employers claim online recruitment sites to be one of the best places for them to find qualified people to fill vacancies.

He advised jobseekers: "Explore generalist sites, niche boards and local job boards and post your resume on as many as you feel could benefit your search."

Furthermore, they should take advantage of the extra tools and functions that many sites offer to ensure that their CV is seen by as many employers as possible.

Meanwhile, Onrec.com recently reported on the opinion of Paul Burgess, managing director of eploy, who said that many small businesses could also benefit from online recruitment as it could help to save them money.
