Expert: Use keywords to tailor your online CV
An expert has advised jobseekers to make good use of keywords in their CVs when using online recruitment sites.
According to Online Recruitment, this is the best way to ensure that an application stands out to a potential employer.
It also means that the CV is more likely to be picked up by software which searches through the applications and identifies the most relevant ones.
Managing director of Online Recruitment David Hurst said: "It is very important to think about the skills and qualifications you've got and highlight them so that they get found."
Likewise, "people should think about where they are applying and tailor their CV accordingly", he added.
To help them do this, some online recruitment sites offer application writing services to help and guide jobseekers.
