Index shows rise in online recruitment activity
There is good news for the online recruitment industry recently as the latest Monster Employment index has revealed a growth in activity.
The index rose in six points in February, driven mostly by an increasing demand for workers in the education, training and library sectors.
Likewise, management and consulting also saw a rise in activity while craft and related workers noted the strongest increase among the occupational groups.
Although activity slowed slightly in the healthcare industry when compared to previous months, the sector still showed the largest annual gain.
Hugo Sellert, head of economic research, at Monster Worldwide, said there are "pockets of opportunity as demand has increased significantly for workers in education, management and consultancy in February, whilst hiring in the healthcare sector has risen by more than 50 per cent year-on-year".
Meanwhile the Training and Development Agency for Schools supports these results after revealed that internet teacher recruitment enquiries are up by 45 per cent.
