Internet advice offered to jobseekers in new book

06/02/2009

A new book has been published which aims to give advice to jobseekers on how they can effectively use the internet and online recruitment sites to help them find employment.

Onrec.com reports that the publication, called How to Find a Job Using the Internet, aims to introduce a range of people to the benefits of going online to look for work.

The target audience includes newly graduated students, the long-term unemployed or even those simply looking for a career change.

Mike Taylor, author of the book, claimed it may be especially useful to anyone who has been made redundant and has not looked for work in many years.

"For some people this could be the first time they have had to use the internet to look for a job because using the internet was not an option the last time they were job hunting," he said.

According to David Hurst, founder of Onrec.com, the internet gives jobseekers the opportunity to search for vacancies across a variety of locations.
