Job vacancies fall

10/07/2008

Demand for permanent workers in the UK dipped last month in the first such decline for five years, a new survey has found.

The Recruitment Employment Confederation and KPMG research also found that recruitment of temporary workers has decreased at the fastest level since May 2003, the BBC reports.

More jobseekers are now chasing each vacancy due to this dip, making the UK labour market more competitive.
