Online recruitment can save firms thousands, website claims

18/12/2008

Companies looking to save money over the new year have been advised that using online recruitment sites may be an easy way for them to do this.

They could save themselves thousands of pounds on their cost per hire, something that may be especially useful during the recession, Personnel Today reports.

It could be a strategic move as many firms can waste time and money on ineffective advertising and administration.

The website writes: "Research suggests that finding future employees using the internet is at least five times less expensive than newspaper advertising and twelve times less expensive than using a traditional recruitment consultancy."

Furthermore, professional online recruitment can also cut the time it takes to hire new candidates by a third.

In related news, Talent Management recently reported that online recruitment sites make it easier for firms to advertise vacancies and to reach the right jobseekers.
