Online recruitment will 'benefit jobseekers'
Jobseekers have been advised by one expert to make use of recruitment websites as they offer a number of helpful services.
Online recruitment sites provide support for those searching for new employment, as well as guidance and advice, Michelle Brown, head of communications for Monster UK and Ireland, said.
There are other features of the websites that candidates may not realise exist, Ms Brown noted, saying: "Online recruitment sites can expose a CV to hundreds of potential employers rather than a seeker having to approach employers one by one.
"This will greatly improve a jobseeker's chance of finding employment."
Furthermore, by uploading one's CV there is a greater chance of being headhunted, a "very positive" experience, Ms Brown explained.
She added that jobseekers may be headhunted by a sector they were not looking to work for.
According to a recent survey from Enhance Media, job searching via the internet has increased by 50 per cent since 2006.
