Onrec.com: Use online recruitment during the recession

19/12/2008

Some people who have not been out of work for a long time may now be looking to online recruitment sites to help them find work, it has been claimed.

In the opinion of David Hurst, managing director of Onrec.com, although there are jobseekers who already know about the services offered by online job boards, they are now attracting more people.

As a result their databases are continuing to grow as people look for ways to get ahead in the jobs market during competitive times.

Mr Hurst said that "the trick will be searching the internet for the best place to find a job which might mean putting your CV on general sites where people might find you".

Jobseekers should use reputable online recruitment sites when looking for a job online due to the large volume of listings they have, Careerbuilder.co.uk advises.

They should also look at vacancies that have been advertised for a while, not just the newest positions which have been posted.
