Pizza Hut uses website to target Gen Y job seekers
Pizza Hut is to use a new fun approach to recruitment on its website to try and attract younger people to job vacancies in its restaurants.
The company says that by launching adverts in a language that 18 to 22-year-olds can relate to, they hope more of the Gen Y population will apply for positions, Personnel Today reports.
Jayne Little, HR director at the company said: "For us it's about attracting people into the business and what we have looked at doing is an updated recruitment site, talking in the language of people that come and work for us."
She also believes that more people will apply for jobs because online recruitment is now more popular for younger people than applying using pen and paper.
The company says that around 85 per cent of its Gen Y recruits go on to become mangers.
Last month, Personnel Today also reported that for 180 Gen Y workers surveyed, salary and bonuses were cited as among the top three most important factors when it came to them choosing a job.
