'Positive signs' for UK employment market
The recruitment market in the UK has shown positive growth during the last month, the latest employment index has indicated.
According to the Monster Employment Index, online recruitment recovered from a slight dip in January to rise 32 points in February.
The most significant growth in job opportunities was registered in the healthcare and social work sectors.
Management and consulting also preformed well last month, the index revealed.
Julian Acquari, the managing director of Monster UK, stated that there are good signs of growth from the figures, despite the expected economic slowdown.
"While recruitment has clearly moderated in the financial sector, opportunities in most other industries have continued to expand. The index seems to show a positive outlook for the UK employment market," he remarked.
Yesterday, CV Screen noted that IT sector is still buoyant, with a 17 per cent increase in the number of job applicants.
