Some recruitment agencies 'flourish during credit crunch'

10/11/2008

Online recruitment is still proving to be a popular method of finding employment in some industries, despite the credit crunch, it has been found.

Onrec.com reported that some websites specialising in the credit and risk industries have seen positive growth in the number of vacancies being advertised by companies.

Similarly, over the past year their client bases have increased by 20 to 40 per cent and more positions are being filled.

It seems that e-recruitment could still bee a popular option in these industries and Jobsincredit.com director Brett Marlow thinks this is partly as a result of the credit crunch.

"We're finding that many companies are actively recruiting credit control professionals to ensure that they manage their debtors and cash flow," he said.

A survey by the website also revealed that 54 per cent of those questioned think that the media is over-exaggerating the economic problem in the UK.

Last week, Onrec.com reported that a conference will be held in America next year for recruiters to come together and discuss ways of improving and developing the services they offer.
