Somerset police construction jobs to go ahead

Avon and Somerset Police Authority and Constabulary have appointed the Blue Light Partnership to deliver additions to their estate that will also aid architecture recruitment . They have chosen the consortium, comprising Bilfinger Berger Project Investments, Miller Construction and Cofely, to design, build, finance and operate their new facilities, with the Treasury also allocating £129 million of funding for this programme. Starting from September, construction work will take place on a new operational base in Bridgewater, custody and crime investigation centres at Patchway and Keynsham and a tri-force firearms training centre in Portishead.
