Website offers online recruitment advice to jobseekers

08/01/2009

One website has offered advice to jobseekers about how they can use online recruitment to their advantage.

According to iProfile.org, it is one of the best ways to get a feel for the jobs market and an understanding of what is on offer.

People should also use relevant industry terms on their CVs as this is one of the best ways to ensure that employers will quickly identify suitable candidates when searching online recruitment sites.

"Remember that your CV is a marketing tool - focus on selling yourself and brush-up on your persuasion and influencing skills," iProfile.org stated.

The internet is also useful as it offers training courses which can help jobseekers get ahead of the competition.

They should also script and rehearse a range of interview questions.

Writing for the Chicago Tribune, John Thieman recently advised jobseekers to Google themselves to ensure there is nothing unsavoury written about them on the internet.
