Workload increase for HR employees
Human resources (HR) employees are facing much heavier workloads but are happier in their roles than they were three months ago, a new poll said.
The survey, which was conducted by recruitment firm Badenoch and Clark and questioned 1,086 HR employees, found that 94 per cent were content in their roles.
However, 29 per cent of employees did not react well to the stress, claiming they have handed in their resignation.
Badenoch and Clark spokesperson Allison Gray said: "The results are particularly revealing for HR workers. It seems the job is becoming very labour intensive. When it comes to career prospects, confidence is dropping fast."
She added that companies need to be aware of the problems or risk "losing a lot of their best talent".
HR professionals who weathered the storms of the last recession are currently being headhunted by businesses, according to Personnel Today, as their workforce management skills are considered valuable at present.
